The Marriage and Family Life Commission aims to:

1. promote marriage and family life within the Diocese

2. increase awareness of ways of helping families live the Christian life

3. promote good preparation for those getting married

4. promote support for those who are married

5. have a care for those who experience difficulty in their marriage and family life

The Commission consists of representatives from each Deanery in the Diocese and representatives of organisations concerned with marriage and family life, including Marriage Care, Marriage Encounter, Catholic Children's Society, Schools. It has defined Terms of Reference
